Simplified and up to date

Took my poetry admin by the scruff of its neck. I write my poetry on the Scrivener program, and have done for some time. For various reasons I ended up with duplicate files and occasionally different versions in various folders. By the end of the day I had pretty much de-duplicated, and saved everything into its latest version. It's quite a long process. I how have a giant folder containing poems that have been published, another which is work in progress -- assorted unfinished stuff -- and the current big collection MS I am working on. Feel all clean and in control now. Everything simplified and up to date.

Lorraine off with Beth and Enzo this morning to go to Marmoosh to have some time together, and get Beth out of the house. Then at lunchtime Lorraine brought Pat around and drove Maureen off for a hospital appointment. Beth and Enzo and Pat sat in the living room. Lorraine gave me a snack from Marmoosh I nibbled at during the Understory Conversation, which really was thought provoking. I also read them a poem called The Bottle Garden, which they liked.

Kept Pat topped up with tea, and cooed over Enzo a bit. Beth looking really well I thought.  I then nipped off to Morrisons, came back and got dinner ready. I barbecued some burgers and sausages, and Lorraine when she came back with Maureen sorted out some salad bits. A jolly good feed had by everyone.

All nice. Enzo going to sleep on James almost as soon as he arrived. All fairly cheery, though Maureen had a bit of a day of it what with having and appointment and so on. Then everyone left, and I cleaned up, put the barbecue away, bins out, changed the cat litter. Lorraine had some things to sort out at Pat and Maurreen's then when she returned, a much needed boof onto the gold sofa. Watched a bit of the England women's football team, making exceedingly heavy weather of it against Sweden but somehow fluking a victory.

To bed happily.
