Happiness is a day in the garden
A free day today, and Lorraine and I ended up pottering about the garden till it was almost six. Planting up various tomatoes and other veggies, and doing bits and pieces of tidying and sorting and weeding and clearing weed from the fishpond and so on. It was a perfect way to spend a Sunday and an antidote to all the busyness of the last few weeks. We had no plum blossom this year though the tree is healthy, but plenty of apples and pears.
After dinner we watched some of an Australian series on BBC iPlayer called Black Snow, which is quietly brilliant, and has a faint echo of Twin Peaks about it.
Below have Mexican fleabane in our garden, mainly because in Guernsey it is called St Peter Port daisy, and it reminds me of the island. Our plants are looking fine. Two roses, one just about to open, and the other a gorgeous white one with a blush of pink.
