A boat of coincidence

Woke up early, despite this being the first day of Lorraine's hols (although she did do some work). I had just had a dream, where the entire plot of a short Christmas animation had played out in my head. Simply got dressed, had a cup of tea and wrote it down for the next hour and a half. Then took Mrs Kenny a nice cup of tea.

Dawn arrived to work on the bathroom and bedroom upstairs. Lorraine got up and we had breakfast. Then I had a long conversation with Robin.

This done, and a bite of lunch had, Lorraine and I zoomed off to Lidls at Whitehawk, facemarks on, where we returned the two bottles that had been sold to us with their protective caps still on. This a palaver, as they had never encountered this before, especially as we were now trying to return them. Lorraine had been given two bottles of nice gin in the last week, and Beth had told us the rum we had bought 'tastes like arse' as she had bought one recently. It took a phone call and the summoning of a manger but it all worked out fine.

To the Marina next, where Lorraine left the car with the car cleaners, and we went for a saunter about in the sun. Although it is not uncommon for us to talk about Guernsey, we had just had a chat about the island, when we walked past a boat called Sarnia, one of the old names for Guernsey. This is the second coincidence recently. Anton and I were have been talking a bit about Tarot off and on over the last few weeks. I had told him that I always got The Moon card, and its symbolism had always haunted me and even made it into a few poems, as well as the recent short story The Dream Home.  As we walked along on last Friday's epic walk, just having passed the Marina, I saw a boy coming towards us wearing a teeshirt with the tarot card of The Moon on it. I have never seen anyone with a Tarot card teeshirt, and that it was The Moon of all cards seemed significant.

Lorraine and I had a cheery little walk, past the marina down by the sea by the white cliffs, then collected our shiny Qashqai. As we parked up,  a man was burning rubber in the far side of the car park spinning his car about. Very noisy. Went into the big Asda and bought assorted bits and pieces, including (encouragingly) a small bottle of rum. Then home.

Had lunch outside on the terrace, with Dawn as the sun slipped down the sky. All well.

Below the boat of coincidence.
