Heat

No plumbers today because: reasons. They will start tomorrow. I had a fairly good day's work, though the heat huge still. Apparently unusual conditions in the Atlantic and a sluggish jet stream, have combined to create conditions like 1976, exacerbated by global warming. Even parts of Scandinavia are aflame, and deadly fires have broken out near Athens. I think of Chad sometimes when I'm walking around on the edge of the sun-dried downs. This is not normal.

A walk this afternoon just around sun-baked local parks to get to my 10k paces. Lorraine's last day at school (with school kids in) today. The leaver's service went well, and she returned home laden with gifts. Ate salad outside this evening, and drank a glass of Pimms in celebration.
